Great location and close to Taos Ski Lodge.
Small campground, first come-first served, but it seems everyone is friendly. I set up camp with another group, and shared some stories from the northern plains.
Couldn't find but there is a lot of construction at the ski resort and many roads were closed.
Not really good for car camping. Only 2-3 visible camping sights that had picnic table, fire pit and grill. You could park but would have to carry all of your gear up a hill. Wouldn't be horrible if you backpacked in though. Not well marked or designated.
If you arrive after dark, it is difficult to find. It is in a great location though, right next to the Bull of the Woods Trail for your Wheeler Peak hike.
