I used to live in Taos and I haven't been here in a few years, I miss this place like crazy! The ski valley is looking amazing I can't belive all the work they are doing to it! It feels good to be home I can't wait for my next vacation eeeeeeeeeeee!
I had only been to the Snakedance for skiing before this fall when I got married here. It was so unbelievably beautiful and everyone was so amazing, I would recommend it to anyone. The large rooms with full kitchens and fireplaces are some of the best I have ever stayed in. There is so much to do from hiking, to hot air ballooning, to rafting in the summer. I will likely still aim more for the am I season, but I will definitely make more summer and fall trips to this magical place.
The essential accommodations when spending any amount of time in the Taos ski Valley. Grab your skis from the guest storage, walk out the door and get on the lift that's about 17 feet away. The bar in the St. Bernard 20 steps up the hill is always a blast. It's just the perfect location to ski an amazing mountain.
Ate at the restaurant there, chef wouldn't dirty ONE BOWL to mix franks red hot and ranch. Elevator also didn't work on the way out.
